Hello and welcome to the first post from this blog.  My name is Bode and I will be talking about one topic, side-hustle….

A hustle can be informally defined as being engaged in something.

So many of us are currently gainfully employed, earning some sort of pay-checks, but we have always aspired to have some sort of business of our own that we can manage.  Oftentimes these aspirations are things that we do as hobbies and we find pleasure doing in our spare times.  Most of these aren’t things considered work because they give us pleasure and we don’t get tired doing them.

There is nothing more beautiful than doing what one loves and getting paid for it, won’t you say? We can examine ourselves to find that one thing we love to do and it seems like no effort is required when we find ourselves doing them. Those are things/fields we might be better engaged in, and if we are presently earning a paycheck from a job or role, well … that might be the side-hustle we need to pursue.

My intention is to spark a conversation on entrepreneurial endeavors, pursued whilst one is still gainfully employed and earning a paycheck from a career.

Are there ideas running around in your mind? Do you consider any of them a possible source of extra income for you? What is acting as a blocker for you, if any? Do you think hearing about the stories of others would be beneficial to you? How about networking with others to test the waters? After testing the waters, when is the appropriate time to transition a side-hustle into a full-time job and gain self-actualization?

It is my hope to bring the perspectives of several other people together on this blog to provide helpful tips and hints to get you going on your quest for self-actualization.
